Registration Form: Choose Canada to Submit It
To submit the registration form, the phone number requires a particular format. First, click on the drop-down menu and select Canada. Then enter your area code and phone number as one string of numbers (no hyphens or parentheses).
Is there a minimum number of participants?
Yes, there is a minimum of 6 participants. If there are less than 6, you'll have the option of joining the next class or a refund of your payment.
Will there be new topics for FLOURISH?
Yes! Two in progress so far. First up is FACE the World that'll include these components of personal power:
> Fear or Faith? Our choice
> Agency -> A Call to Action
> Curiousity keeps us kicking
> Embrace Uncertainty (Not easy but realistic, therefore necessary)
The second new 2026 topic is -
> Abundance and the Flow of Good Things
How much are the courses?
In 2025, the half-day courses are $40 and the full-day ACTION self-defence course is $80. Ask about "Bring a Friend for Free!" Early registrants get 2-for-1!
Payment is required two weeks before your course, by e-transfer, cash or cheque, please.
Self Defence for Kids?
I taught safety skills and self defence to children in schools. We taught children from nursery school to grade 12 throughout Ontario. I would love to teach children in Kitchener-Waterloo as well. Workshops for children ages 4-14 are built around role-plays that explore 3 situations: bullying, stranger danger, and sexual assault. We teach children that they have the right to be safe, strong and free and discuss and role-play options if someone takes away their rights.
If you are interested in having your child take this workshop, please let me know! It requires 3 trained presenters. If there is sufficient demand, I'll be delighted to train facilitators to join me in teaching. Please complete a contact form if you're curious or interested. That will help me gauge interest.
The strategies we teach include saying no, getting your friends' help, telling a trusted adult, and simple ways to fight back and get away.
It's an excellent program. We teach children what they can do in these tough situations without increasing fear but instead enhancing confidence. That's the beauty of this workshop, why it works so well. I'd love to teach more children how to be safe, strong and free.
